Katherina Reiche

Katherina Reiche, a university-trained chemist, has been Managing Director of the German Association of Local Utilities (VKU) since 2015. From 2009 to 2013, she was parliamentary state secretary at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety. She was subsequently parliamentary state secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. Katherina Reiche is Honorary President of the Federal Association of Public Services (bvöd) and of the European Centre of Employers and Enterprises providing Public Services (CEEP). She has been a member of the German Council for Sustainable Development since November 2016.
